Straub Hall at University of Oregon
Rowell Brokaw Architects was selected to manage and design this deferred maintenance project for the University of Oregon's Straub Hall. Opsis Architecture is the academic planning architect working in close collaboration with the Rowell Brokaw Team on the Facility Master Plan currently underway.
Straub Hall was originally built as a dormitory. In the 70's it was re-purposed to be the home of the Psychology Department and the Linguistics Department. The goal of this project is to transform the building into effective, efficient, academic spaces with functioning modern services for faculty and students.
Improvements will include seismic upgrades, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing improvements, as well as space improvements that are affected by the technical improvements to the building.
