Howard Davis is a Professor of Architecture at the University of Oregon and a regular consultant to Rowell Brokaw Architects on complex planning and programming projects. His professional work and research is in housing, community development and educational facilities.

At Rowell Brokaw he has played a prominent role in the planning and programming for Mount Angel Abbey, several University of Oregon projects including the East Campus Open Space Framework and the Robert D. Clark Honors College planning projects. He has also been instrumental in the vision and planning for the Crescent Village Mixed-Use development in Eugene. Howard teaches lecture courses and seminars on urban buildings, vernacular architecture, architectural contexts of culture and place, and contemporary architecture.

Howard has also taught at the University of California, Berkeley; the University of Texas at Austin; Edinburgh University; the Unversidad Autonoma de Baja California; and the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi.
